Marie Frankos was hired as an Academic Detailing Specialist for Utah’s Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL) in February 2019. She began her career as a registered dental hygienist working in clinical practice, as well as served many years as a dental hygiene professor at three different dental hygiene programs in Utah and Nevada. Marie obtained her Master of Public Health degree and began working as an Epidemiologist for the Salt Lake County Health Department and subsequently, as a Health Program Specialist for the Utah Department of Health. Marie comes to DOPL with a wealth of clinical and instructional experience and has enjoyed her time so far with DOPL and Academic Detailing.
Controlled Substance Database: A Clinical Decision-Making Tool
The Controlled Substance (CSD) is a resource to assist authorized controlled substance prescribers and dispensers with providing care for their patients and customers usage of controlled substances. This presentation discusses why and how to use the database and includes information about Patient Dashboard, which is an enhanced clinical decision-making tool for prescribers and dispensers. The patient Dashboard went live November 2017. This presentation also highlights upcoming CSD Prescribers and Community Dashboards.
