Dr. Matthew Mizukawa graduated from Pine View High School in St. George and, after the completion of an LDS Mission in Fukuoka, Japan, he obtained a B.S. in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University and his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Dr. Mizukawa completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee where he was awarded Best Consultant from the Department of Emergency Medicine. He later went back to Vanderbilt University to serve as an Associate Professor in the Oral and Maxillofacial Residency Program.

Dr. Mizukawa has extensive experience both at Vanderbilt and here at Dixie Oral Surgery in dental implant placement, wisdom teeth and other surgical tooth removal, bone grafts, corrective jaw surgery and much more. Currently on staff at Dixie Regional Medical Center, Dr. Mizukawa is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a member of the American Association of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, and the Southern Utah Dental Association.

Dr. Mizukawa became a partner at Dixie Oral Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery in January 2014. He and his wife Julie and their five children are all happy to be living in beautiful southern Utah.
